Whoops and other shit
First things first, the reason the blog was down was because I fucked a line in the configuration file and never bothered to check it out.
Anyways moving on, I’m working on a new site this month, it’s for Def-Defying Car Audio; they’re a local Car Audio shop (I help out there when there’s a need). It’s not a huge web project but it’s enough for the time being. Next month I’m going to be working on another website, this one’s for a general contractor (Who happens to be my cousin :P), that’ll be a challenge…
Okay now onto quantumRadio, I’m closing it… That’s all you’re getting on that….
………
I kid, while quantumRadio as it stands is going (that means no more sessions) in the can, I’m gonna start up a new site (that’s a registered biz, licensed and has a damned radio server this time round, like qR was supposed to have!), similar to how quantumRadio was meant to be years ago, I don’t have a name for it yet, someone care to toss me ideas?
Oh yea, for the sake of all things, the new site will be based on the backend I was working on for quantumRadio, but instead of using our own login ID’s we’ll be using Windows Live ID’s, I figure this way you don’t have to register a new account and there’s less chance of you (the user) forgetting your creds and everyone has a Live ID/.Net Passport. When you first login to the new site there will be a onetime “linking” (as I’m gonna call it, I dunno what it’s actually called) you will have to create a unique Username and a few minor site specific settings (Avatar (though we might use your Live accounts J ), forum sig, time zone, site settings, etc) but other than that you’ll be using the same ID you use to login to Windows Live Messenger (WLM/MSN) and Hotmail, we may also even allow you to add contacts to your Messenger contact list directly from any given users profile. This should be fun. (BTW my personal sites are the testing grounds for this, if it works as it should I’ll end up moving the features over to RazorIRC/EdgeServer website, Def-Defying’s, and my cousins. First trial run will be right here on this very blog.
RazorIRC, yes the project is still alive, along with EdgeServer and the Edge Protocol.
Okay, I think I covered it all.
