iPad…

What a fucked name to call a tablet… Though those things from Star Trek were called Pads as well LOL!

I’m impressed at the power of the iPhone OS on a tablet like device.  But seriously add flash and multi-tasking already!

Now onto what this post is actually about….

RazorIRC… I’m probably not going to release a iPad version, reason being is I would need to make a UI for it’s screen (which would actually work out better for IRC but…).  I’ll wait and see what other developers are going to do for the iPad first before I do any iPad UI in RazorIRC.

Ugh

Ugh, I’m sick again…  Feels like my brain melted…

I haven’t been doing me research this weekend because of it…  I have to do an oil change on a truck later today though >.< this will be fun…

Maybe it’s a good thing she never got back to me last week…

I Got A Feeling, college dub,,, Pretty good.

This is damned cool!

A little revision…

To the last post…

Seems Objective-C is going to take longer to learn then I thought so Mac and iPhone Development will be put on the back burner once again…  I will however start writing RazorIRC in C so as to have the bases down when I do pick up Objective-C… The other option is to write the entire app in C and use wxWidgets, which I’m still considering.

But just like learning ObjC, wxWidget’s (or and cross-platform GUI toolkit) is new to me…  I prefer to use the OS’s native toolkit, so Cocoa for Mac, WinAPI for Windows and GTK+/Qt for Linux…

Oh yea!

Happy very belated Happy New Year all!

2009′s been a hell of a year.  Now it’s on to 2010!

My personal goals for 2010:
To start up my own Business.
Either get with Her or move on with no chance of becoming friends again.
Skip down if you wanna read about RazorIRC and the like.
Finish my schooling.
Get hired full-time where I currently work as a temp, if not apply where my father used to work and do the 21 year thing like he did (Very unlikely lol).

So the plans for 2010 pertaining to RazorIRC, Update Manager and EdgeChat:
Nothings changed aside from the fact that RazorIRC and Update Manager may, just may support Mac OS X out of the gate, this is because I recently aquired a MacBook :P

I’m not sure if I’ll be releasing the Mac version this year or not, but if I do it may delay RazorIRC and Update Manager by some time.  This is going to be because I’m going to have to write RazorIRC in C, the various versions of RazorIRC though will use native windowing API’s, so GTK+ on Linux, WinForms on Windows and Cocoa on Mac OS X.  If it becomes to much of a burden to keep separate apis in use I may turn to wxWidgets.  So thats the plan so far…

The websites:
I’m keeping QuantumRadio, whoa….WHOA!!!!  Yup I said it, I’m keeping it.  The plans aren’t set in stone yet though.
RazorIRC, the website for RazorIRC will be up sometime before March, this will give everyone a preview of the features of the site and how they reflect on the actual program itself.
Update Manager, the site for this product will temporarily live at updates.razorirc.com, this will of course only be until we feel Update Manager should be released for public consumption. :)

And I believe that is all!  Happy New Year all!
